Jerry is essentially a self taught artist that has taken many workshops and visited many Art Museums to observe numerous artists techniques.

Jerry has always sketched, wood carved and always secretly wanted to paint. For some reason he was afraid to get help and instruction. until one day, his wife Susan surprised him with tubes of paint and an easel and his life was forever changed. He began to paint everything and anything every day.

From an American Artist Magazine, featuring Matt Smith, he booked a workshop that become one of many in places like Jackson Hole Wyoming, Ouray Colorado, Scottsdale Arizona, Carmel CA, Laguna Ca, Wells Maine. With Master Artists like Matt Smith, Ralph Oberg, Donna Zhang and many more. Their mentoring and encouragement is a wonderful support system.

The experience opened up the gates to learning, interaction, with great artists and the tremendous driving force to paint. Jerry signs up for two such workshops a year usually through the Scottsdale Artist School program.
